Canon replaces the PowerShot A470

Sunday, 18 January 2009

Canon-PowerShot-A480 The good ol’ PowerShot is on its last legs. Canon has decided to scrape the A470 series from the tech market and is replacing the old war horse with the A480.

The A480 is smaller (by 25%) than the A470 and flaunts a 3.3x optical zoom (which can be stretched up to 4x digital). The 10-megapixel camera also packs in a DIGIC III processor, 2.5-inch LCD screen and a simple button to make it user friendly. The color options include red, silver, black and blue. The A480 is predicted to hit the European markets by February for £129.00.
