Resolution: More the resolution, more the clarity and detailed the picture will be. But a 4 mega pixel camera makes a good quality print suitable for vacations. If you're not a better shooter, then you may need to zoom and crop some part of the images and in this case higher resolution might help. Digital Zoom: Simply it means "NO ZOOM". Digital zoom is just stretching the picture and obviously compromising the quality. Always look for the Optical Zoom value which is obtained through the lens! Short lag time: This is the time difference between the pressing of the shoot button and the real shot. Shorter the lag time, better the shot. Imagine if it was 2 secs then you might have missed your perfect shot already.SD Card slot: They have become inexpensive, widely available and industry standards these days. 1 or 2 GB card would be sufficient enough for a vacation. Right size: Does it fit comfortably in your hand and in your pocket? Are the dials large enough that you can set them easily? Is the LCD large enough? Click here to Shop for the Best Digital Cams
