Now, its a big party time for the people who are looking for unlimited free calls. Google Voice unveils an option for you with simple user interface.
Placing and receiving Google Voice calls through your computer or cell phone are completely free and just few steps away. Yes, Google Voice and Gizmo makes it possible by placing a VoIP call from a real phone number to a real phone number just by using 3G/EDGE data connection, and without any plan minutes. Are you really interested? Check out the below simple steps to place an unlimited free call.
- The first thing is that you have to get a free Google Voice account.
- Create a free Gizmo account.
- Once you get a free Gizmo and Google Voice account, login to my.gizmo5.com and find your SIP address under "Account Overview".
- Place the same SIP address in your Google Voice settings.
- Gizmo-compatible client has to be installed on your phone. It is preinstalled, if your phone supports 'J2ME', or else you can simple find one from http://gizmo5.com/pc/products/mobile/, and configure it.
- Now, use the Google Voice's web interface to call the number you need and by selecting your Gizmo number as the one to ring when connecting. The wonder here is that informing Google Voice to initiate a call and ring your Gizmo is technically an incoming call even if you are calling a different number.
- Finally, inform Gizmo client, installed on your phone to accept the call. So, you are now connected!
What if, you are using Skype as your VoIP application? No need to worry. You can set the Google Voice and Gizmo to route all the calls to Skype for a pretty cheaper price than Skype charges for its call-out service.
