We have already dealt with the Sony's slimmer version of PS3. Now, we are really excited to share the inspiring features of the new firmware update (v3.00). New improvements in network and personalization options are included to enhance the look and feel of PS3. The latest "What's New" sections reveals the PlayStation news, featuring games, video, and lots more, in a glossy animated method. A new status indicator bar has been set at the top right corner, avails information about your online friends along with user and friend icons, scrolling ticker, and a message icon. An important drawback with the previous version is that the battery indicator hiding the clock, when the PS button is pressed, is completely ruled out in the firmware update v3.00. Moreover, your network friends could be viewed in a sleek format with an option to see the messages from their profiles. The update has provided a shortcut to the PlayStation Store that enables a better and simple option to launch games, videos, and new animated themes and avatars to personalize your PS3. In addition to the above features, the update also throws cosmetic changes to display your trophies. The combination of base and add-on game trophies will be embedded in a single list that paves pretty easy way to check your status in the game. The trophies in the list are further split in to subcategories like base trophies and add-on trophies. This individually allows you to track the percentage of your trophies in the base game, and trophy progress in add-on packs. There is no specific release date unveiled. Just wait and watch to bag this PS3 firmware update v3.00. Only registered users can write comments!
