Intel's Atom Drama

Saturday, 03 January 2009

Intel-atom-processor This is nothing short of a drama and we’re sure that Intel’s enjoying it to the hilt! First we thought that the Atom processor would be loaded with its customized graphics leaving NVIDIA fans in the lurch.

The second blow landed when we heard rumors that these processors are exclusively for netbooks with 10.2 inches or lesser. But our glimmer of hope came in the form of HP as they negotiate with Intel to convince the chip-giant to use its processors in notebooks which are 13 inches or more. We’ve seen the Dell Mini 12 which is powered by Atom and well, there’re more folks out there who’d want to lay their hands on Atom powered notebooks in the near future. Intel, are you listening?
