If we are to believe the latest grub circulating in the tech zone, then
your power guzzling monitors are a thing of the past! The all new LG
Flatron W2252TE is apparently the worlds most energy efficient
monitor.
This sleek and stylish monitor consumes power of only 22W which is 45% lesser than the whopping 40W which other displays usually suck in. Whats more, this display packs a neat punch with a wide native resolution (1680x1050) with a viewing angle of 170°. The brightness with its rating of 250cdm2 is sure to leave you dazzled while the contrast ratio of 10,000:1 is quite commendable.
LGs decreed that the Flatron W2252TE would come equipped with a special circuit to enable 4:3 content to be displayed sans distortion in the full width panel. Now, we figure out that some crookedly clever algorithm designed to manipulate images or the simple crop performed by the screen would be the secret behind this phenomenon, but a nagging doubt still exists. Though LG is keeping the pricing bit as a well guarded secret, come August and those in UK can save a few pounds on their electricity bill!
