Toshiba’s still sore about the mortifying pasting from Blu-ray and is scrambling to get even. The all new XD-E500 DVD player is the answer to the Blu-ray episode.

The player sports Toshiba’s new eXtended Detail Enhancement (XDE) technology which promises top notch resolution but ironically, there’s a small glitch. The images are a bit too sharp for visual comfort. Looks like this thing has been put together in haste and we still think that $150 is a tad too heavy a price to pay for this one!
