The leaked out builds about the Windows Home Server “Vail”, brings out of the curtain some code names. Out of these the mainly talked one is the “Aurora”, which is said to be a Small Business Server version that is likely to be placed between, WHS and the current SBS products.

Actually the amount of information we have about the Aurora is little, but, it is expected that, it already shares components with the WHS “Vail”. For both of these the Remote Access Console is identical & the sharing of codebases are similar with both targeted at different users: Small Business’s and Small Home Office users.

Microsoft has declined to comment on the Windows Small Business Server Aurora by saying, they are now not interested in discussing about the future products. Let’s wait for a while and see Microsoft is cooking for us.
