After price-cuts from Vista and offering free packages, Microsoft tries the same for marketing Xbox 360 game machines. It has now been confirmed that all variants of the Xbox 360 have received pretty significant price reductions in the European market. Hit the read more link for details.
For those living in Europe, 80-euros have been cut from the estimated retail prices of all variants of the Xbox 360, meaning the Arcade is now 199.99-euros ($307-US), the Premium $269.99-euros, and the Elite 369.99-euros ($568-US).
In England, the price cuts will not be uniform across all SKUs. The Arcade will now retail for 159.99-Pounds (20-Pounds less), the Premium for 199.99-Pounds (50-Pounds less), and the Elite for 259.99-Pounds (40-pounds less). Though such prices are still higher than in the United States, the 18- to 28% price cuts in Europe should do a lot to encourage gamers there to get into the new console generation.
