Ready to fight head-to-head with the iPod family, Microsoft seems to have made something what consumers want finally. A portable media player with slick UI and rich build quality, supporting HD video. The new Zune HD was recently demonstrated by Steve Balmer, CEO of Microsoft himself and the first impressions on the build quality along with the fluid user interface is exceptionally stunning indeed. User interface still portrays the old Zune style but this time it is more fluid like the iPhone or iPod Touch, which is something new to Microsoft. You get a lot of flipping images, smooth scrolling, scaling text, animations and other eye candy stuffs. It also boasts of multi touch support on the 3.3 inches OLED touch screen. Although the screen resolution of ZuneHD is only 480x272, which is far less compared to recent Windows Mobile phones, the OLED screen looked crisp and crystal clear with superb brightness. Its not just the interface; even the external build quality is rich and awesome. Much slimmer than the previous zune and built on an aluminum case with matte finish so you dont leave any fingerprints after hours of usage. Planned for Silver, Black and Gold colored editions, all of them are equally good. The new Zune HD will also have a full internet browser capable of using WiFi networks and most importantly, HD radio reception and HD Video supports will make this the best media player to buy. We havent seen any TV Output ports but sources say the device is capable of HDMI outputs at 720p. Maybe with a separate docking connectors. Aimed at the holiday sales, ZuneHD is expected to arrive on stores this fall 2009. Related Items:Cheap 24 inch HD Monitor from
