A Netbook with a mobile carrier which provides internet connection wherever it is taken and with OS as Chrome is not at all a story. More and more rumors is being spread out about Google Branded Netbook. After the well talked Google Phone, they are again into the front of the rumors with their own Netbook.
Specifications of the device are tried to be hidden and, if the words from the sources are to be taken care, it would run on NVIDIA's Tegra 2 platform with a solid state hard drive. Google themselves had opened up its use when they launched Google Chrome OS. But at that time they didn't said of, on which kind of device the OS would work on. Now the rumors of Google Netbook with Chrome OS open up.
Also, the Google Netbook will have a 10.1 inch HD Multi-touch display, a 64 GB of Solid State Drive, 2GB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and Ethernet port as connectivity options. The NVIDIA's Tegra system-on-a-chip can bring up the audio and video capabilities of the Netbook to quite high marks. Also it will have a powerful ARM processor, of all which may be a minimum requirement for the Chrome OS Netbook.
The Google Chrome OS which is based on Linux gives an amazing boot time of just 7 seconds!. To get Chrome OS is not so easy. They are provided only with specific hardware from companies who has partnered with Google. Google have been consulting with hardware manufacturers for a Netbook which conveys their specs.
They are planning to launch it by the 2010 summer. Google Netbooks with Chrome OS may not cost over $300. Also good news from their part is that telecom providers such as At&T are willing to have a Two-year data contract. Might be rumors, but we could believe Google for a well designed product of their own brand.
