HP's ProBook s-series adds zing to business laptops!

Saturday, 02 May 2009

HP-ProBook-4510s HP’s finally read our mind and has agreed with us. Business laptops can do with a bit more fanfare.

So, HP’s ProBook s-series takes the lead and churns out the 14-inch 4410s and 4415s. The laptops are powered by Intel/AMD processors and promise a host of interesting features. There’s a Blu-ray drive (optional), GMA X4500HD or ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 (your choice) and a HDMI port.

Closely following, there’s the 15.6-inch 4510s (powered by Intel) and 4515s (fired by AMD). We’ve spotted an integrated numeric keypad and mobile broadband connectivity possibility (optional though!) on these machines.

Finally, there’s the magnum opus, the 17.5-inch 4710s which doesn’t sport mobile broadband or the AMD options. But, there’s Linux and Novell SuSE Enterprise Desktop 11 fully loaded in the machine.

The price tag starts with $529 and an extra $139 if you want the USB 2.0 docking station thrown into the bargain.
