When it comes to Sony, they surely deliver the best. They have now come up with wide series of Laptops with more advanced features.
Sony, one of the leading brands has now completely focussed on HD laptops and PCs. We have come up with details of few new releases like VAIO L, VAIO X & VAIO CW, and thrown light on advanced features of these laptops.
VAIO L
VAIO L, Sony's very first touchscreen model with the all-new L series all-in one, which comes with awesome touch features that flaunts accurate response even in multi-touch gestures. The machine features 24-inch widescreen panel with an advanced 1920X1080 resolution. Sony has designed VAIO L model such that it could be served as both HDTV as well as the PC that displays high-definition content in Full HD resolution. We have spotted an HDMI port to plug in the PS3, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Blu-ray Disc writer, built-in DVR capabilities through the pre-loaded Windows 7 Home Premium, up to 500GB of storage, and loads of RAM. The other features include:
- NVIDIA GeForce series graphics card for graphic-intense gaming and movies.
- Built-in wireless 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi technology.
- Facility to create a personal entertainment library with up to 50 hours of HD television.
This pretty glossy device carries a price tag of $1300, which is quite affordable for a touch screen model.
VAIO X
Sony has announced VAIO L as the world's lightest notebook that weighs just 0.78Kg including battery. This incredibly ultra portable notebook has been designed for enhanced performance and style. VAIO X comes with Windows 7 and features 11.6'' LCD screen with advanced LED backlight technology, 2.0GHz Atom Z550 processor, 256GB SSD, on board WWAN adaptor that flaunts the latest 3G HSPA mobile broadband networks at speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. We have also spotted Gigabit Ethernet, VGA port, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, Motion Eye camera for Skype and other video conferencing, lithium polymer battery that is capable of offering approximately 8 hours battery life with a single charge, and an optional extended battery that provides approximately 16 hours battery life. This ultra-premium notebook costs $1499, and comes with three finishes; gold, black and premium carbon. The only drawback with this notebook is that the absence of HDMI port and optical drives as in VAIO L.
VAIO CW
Though Sony's VAIO CW is in the offing, we have spotted 14-inch LED-backlit widescreen display resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, 2.8GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT230M with 256 or 512MB of dedicated video RAM for boosting 3D gaming performance and day-to-day operations, VGA and HDMI outputs, Lithium-ion battery, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, and a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. The laptop will be also available with a 500GB HDD and a Blu-ray burner. VAIO CW also features
- Built-in web camera and microphone.
- 802.11n Wi-Fi.
- Bluetooth 2.1 that supports stereo audio stream.
- An Ethernet LAN port.
- Three USB ports.
- An Express Card slot.
- Memory Stick Duo media and SD memory card slot.
- Firewire connector.
The 5.3-pound Sony VAIO CW has a battery life of up to 4 hours, which can be extended to a maximum of 6 hours with the optional extended battery. The decent looking system comes with Windows 7 OS with wide variety of chassis colors such as are black, white, red, pink, and purple, and with a price tag of $799.
