windows media playerThe Windows Media Player 11 together with Windows Vista is really cool and glassy. Unfortunately, everytime you start the player, it opens in Library tab giving a delay to index all albums or songs. Wouldn't it be better when it starts directly in the Now Playing tab? Read on to find out how to make it happen.

Well it's very simple. All you have to do is add the parameter "/Task:NowPlaying" into the short-cut and that's it!

Simply right-click on the Windows Media Player short-cut and open properties. And in the target, add the above parameter making it

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /prefetch:1 /Task:NowPlaying

Voila! Next time, enjoy Windows Media Player starting snappier in the Now Playing tab directly.
