intel-graphics Yawn! This might not be the hot news at the moment with the fact that Intel has been trying to hype up the DirectX 10 support since as long as anyone would care to remember. But the results are far from convincing. Read on.

Is Intel ready to take the graphic plunge? Apparently not! But as the poor, little, richly hyped up feature has seen the light of the day (at last), it's not as good as its made out to be. The integrated graphics options would delight those who love to tinker with the graphics.

The latest Vista driver consists of the GM965 and G35 Express chips sets boasting multimedia capabilities. But things don’t seem to be rosy for Intel as the Integrated Direct X10 solution directly competes with the razor edged DirectX 10-ready games by NVIDIA.

What added insult to injury was the absence of a single game which managed to pull out more than 5fps (even at 1280x1024 resolution) with the graphics intensive settings switched off! Now, that’s a spoiler.
