Microsoft has always been very business and ready for competition. Whenever any version of Windows released to manufacturing (RTM), they immediately concentrate on releasing the Service Pack. It has now started to work on the first Service Pack for Windows 7. Engineers have fully indulged in creating hot fixes for applications and ruling out any bug reports in Windows 7. According to the Russian site wzor.net, Windows 7 SP1 will have two betas and two release candidates. Though, nothing has been officially announced by Microsoft. The first Beta 1 version of SP1 for Windows 7 may appear at the end of December 2009, and around the New Year, the public phase of testing SP1 for Windows 7 will begin. Also, Wzor believes SP1 will be ready for OEMs during the summer months (June/July/August) of 2010 with end users applying the update in the autumn (September/October/November). While this little tidbit is news on its own, we have to wait some more time for more official details from Microsoft. Only registered users can write comments!
